About this exercise

A wrist mobility drill that bends the hand upward at the wrist, activating and improving the range of motion of the wrist extensor muscles on the back of the forearm. Regular practice helps prevent wrist stiffness and supports recovery from repetitive strain injuries.

How to Perform

  • Extend one arm in front of you with the palm facing down
  • Keep your forearm still and slowly raise your hand upward at the wrist
  • Hold the end position for the prescribed duration
  • Slowly return the hand to the neutral position
  • Repeat on the opposite wrist

About the Wrist Extension

The Wrist Extension is a foundational movement that builds strength and muscle through controlled, progressive overload. Train it 1 to 2 times per week with 3 to 5 working sets per session, gradually adding weight or reps as form holds up.
