About this exercise

Wrist Circles are a simple mobility drill that lubricates the wrist joints and warms up the forearm musculature. Rotating the wrists through their full range of motion improves flexibility and reduces injury risk before pressing or gripping exercises.

How to Perform

  • Stand or sit upright with your arms extended in front of you at about chest height
  • Make loose fists with both hands
  • Slowly rotate your wrists in large circles, moving through the full range of motion
  • Perform the desired number of circles in one direction, then reverse the direction
  • Keep the movement smooth and controlled, avoiding jerky or rushed rotations

The Wrist Circles is a foundational movement that builds strength and muscle through controlled, progressive overload. Train it 1 to 2 times per week with 3 to 5 working sets per session, gradually adding weight or reps as form holds up.
