EasyQuadricepsCore

About this exercise

A single-leg isolation exercise performed lying on your back with a weight plate held between or resting on the working foot. Lifting one leg at a time focuses the effort on the hip flexors, quadriceps, and glutes while the core stabilizes the pelvis.

How to Perform

  • Lie flat on your back with both legs extended, securing a weight plate across the foot of the working leg
  • Press your lower back into the floor and keep the non-working leg flat or slightly bent for support
  • Brace your core and slowly raise the weighted leg to approximately 60–90 degrees
  • Hold briefly at the top, maintaining tension in the working muscles
  • Lower the leg back down in a controlled manner without letting it rest on the floor between reps
  • Complete all reps on one leg before switching to the other
