How to Perform

  • Stand a lunge-length in front of a bench holding a weight plate in each hand at your sides
  • Place the top of your rear foot on the bench behind you
  • Keep your torso upright and core braced as you lower your hips straight down
  • Descend until your front thigh is roughly parallel to the floor or your rear knee nearly touches the ground
  • Drive through the heel of your front foot to return to the starting position
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching legs
