About this exercise

An isometric shoulder exercise where a weight plate or dumbbell is raised to shoulder height with arms extended and held in that position, building anterior deltoid endurance and strength under sustained tension.

How to Perform

  • Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a weight plate or dumbbell in both hands in front of your thighs
  • Brace your core and keep a slight bend in your elbows
  • Raise the weight forward and upward until your arms are parallel to the floor and at shoulder height
  • Hold the position for the prescribed duration, keeping your torso stable and avoiding any swinging
  • Slowly lower the weight back to the starting position under control
