The Weighted Bottle Side Floor Tap Plank is a challenging core stability exercise performed in a high plank position while holding a water bottle in one hand and reaching it out to tap the floor to the side. The anti-rotation demand intensifies oblique and deep core activation with each alternating tap.

How to Perform

  • Begin in a high plank position with hands under shoulders and body in a straight line
  • Hold a filled water bottle in one hand, keeping the opposite hand firmly on the floor
  • Maintaining a stable plank, reach the bottle out to the side and lightly tap the floor
  • Return the bottle back under your chest
  • Transfer the bottle to the other hand and repeat the tap on the opposite side
  • Keep your hips level and avoid rotating your torso throughout
  • Continue alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions
