The wall supported reverse lunge is a beginner-friendly unilateral leg exercise that builds quadriceps and glute strength. The wall provides balance support so you can focus on proper stepping mechanics and depth.

How to Perform

  • Stand with your back to a wall and place both hands on it for support, or stand beside the wall with one hand on it
  • Keep your chest tall and core braced throughout the movement
  • Step one foot back and lower your rear knee toward the floor
  • Descend until your front thigh is roughly parallel to the floor
  • Push through your front heel to return to the starting position
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching legs
