About this exercise

A bodyweight mobility and strength exercise that combines a lateral lunge with a torso rotation, using a wall for support. It improves hip mobility, inner thigh flexibility, and rotational core strength simultaneously.

How to Perform

  • Stand facing a wall at arm's length and place both hands lightly on the wall for support
  • Step one foot out to the side into a wide stance and shift your weight onto that leg, bending the knee while keeping the opposite leg straight
  • As you sink into the side lunge, rotate your torso away from the wall, reaching one arm behind you
  • Return the torso to face the wall and push back to the starting position
