EasyCoreObliques

About this exercise

The Wall Press and Twist uses the wall as a fixed point of resistance while you perform rotational core movements, targeting the obliques and core stabilisers. It is a low-impact exercise well suited for warm-up, mobility work, or active recovery.

How to Perform

  • Stand facing a wall at arm's length and place both palms flat against it at shoulder height
  • Press lightly into the wall to create slight tension through the arms and chest
  • Keep the hips square and the feet planted as you rotate your torso to one side
  • Hold the twisted position for a moment, feeling the obliques engage
  • Return to the centre and rotate to the opposite side
  • Continue alternating twists in a controlled, deliberate manner
  • Keep the core braced and avoid letting the hips rotate throughout
