About this exercise

The V-Sit Toe Tap is a bodyweight core exercise where you balance in a V-sit position and reach your hands forward to tap your toes. It combines balance, hip flexor strength, and abdominal stability, making it an effective challenge for the entire midsection.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor and lean back slightly, lifting your feet off the ground so your body forms a V shape
  • Keep your back straight and balance on your tailbone, with legs extended at roughly 45 degrees
  • Extend your arms forward and reach toward your toes, tapping them if possible
  • Hold the balance at the top for a moment, then lower your hands back
  • Maintain the V position throughout the set without letting your legs or torso drop
  • Repeat for the desired number of reps
