Two-Leg Hammer Curl with Towel

Step by step instructions, muscle activation and variants for the Two-Leg Hammer Curl with Towel.

EasyOuter forearm

About this exercise

The two-leg hammer curl with a towel uses leg resistance as the load — you sit on the floor, loop a towel under both feet, and curl with a neutral (thumbs-up) grip. The hammer grip evenly targets the biceps, brachialis, and brachioradialis for complete arm development.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor with both knees bent and feet flat, loop a towel under the balls of both feet and hold each end with a neutral grip (thumbs pointing up)
  • Brace your core and keep your elbows close to your sides
  • Curl your hands upward toward your shoulders, pressing your feet into the towel to create resistance
  • Squeeze at the top of the movement, keeping your wrists neutral
  • Slowly lower your hands back to the starting position under control
  • Repeat for the desired number of reps
