About this exercise

Isolates the front deltoids by raising both arms forward against constant cable tension. The cable keeps the shoulders loaded through the full range of motion and also engages the upper chest.

How to Perform

  • Set the pulleys to the lowest position and attach a rope or handles
  • Stand upright facing away from the machine with the cable running between your legs
  • Hold the attachment with both hands and arms extended down in front of your thighs
  • Raise your arms straight forward until they reach shoulder height
  • Pause briefly, then lower the handles back down under control
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
