EasyGlutesObliques

About this exercise

The Twist Hip Lift is a bodyweight floor exercise that targets the obliques and glutes by combining a lateral hip rotation with a hip raise. Lying on your back with knees dropped to one side, you drive your hips upward against gravity, building rotational core strength and lateral hip stability.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor
  • Let both knees fall to one side so your lower body is twisted at an angle
  • Brace your core and press through your feet to lift your hips off the floor
  • Raise your hips until your body forms a straight diagonal line from knees to shoulders
  • Hold briefly at the top, squeezing your glutes and obliques
  • Lower your hips slowly back to the floor
  • Complete all reps on one side, then switch the knee drop to the other side and repeat
