About this exercise

Tip Toes is a simple bodyweight calf exercise performed by rising onto the balls of your feet, effectively targeting the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles. It can be performed anywhere and is excellent for improving ankle strength and calf endurance.

How to Perform

  • Stand upright with feet hip-width apart and toes pointing forward
  • Place your hands lightly on a wall or surface for balance if needed
  • Press through the balls of your feet to rise up onto your toes as high as possible
  • Hold the top position briefly to maximize calf contraction
  • Slowly lower your heels back toward the floor in a controlled manner
  • Repeat for the desired number of repetitions
