About this exercise

A challenging chest exercise performed with feet anchored in suspension trainer straps in a decline position while wearing a weighted vest. The combination of the unstable surface and added load increases muscle activation across the chest, particularly targeting the lower chest, while the core works hard to maintain a stable body line.

How to Perform

  • Secure the suspension trainer straps at a low height and place both feet into the loops
  • Assume a push-up position with hands on the floor, body angled so feet are elevated above shoulder level
  • Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels, bracing the core throughout
  • Lower your chest toward the floor by bending the elbows to approximately 90 degrees
  • Press firmly through your palms to extend the arms and return to the starting position
  • Maintain a controlled tempo and avoid letting the hips sag or pike
