About this exercise

The Suspension Reverse Ab Rollout places your feet in suspension straps and has you pull your knees toward your chest from a plank position, creating a reverse rolling motion that intensely targets the lower abdominals and hip flexors while demanding full-body tension.

How to Perform

  • Set the suspension straps at ankle height and place your feet in the foot cradles
  • Assume a high plank position with hands directly beneath your shoulders and body straight
  • Brace your core and pull both knees toward your chest, allowing your hips to rise slightly
  • Continue driving the knees in until your hips are stacked over or behind your shoulders
  • Pause briefly at the fully crunched position, feeling the lower abdominal contraction
  • Slowly extend your legs back out to the starting plank position under control
  • Avoid bouncing or using momentum — keep the movement slow and deliberate
