About this exercise

The suspension incline plank elevates the feet in gymnastic rings or suspension straps to create an uphill body angle that increases core and shoulder stability demands compared to a flat plank. The unstable surface of the rings adds further challenge to maintaining alignment.

How to Perform

  • Set the suspension straps to a low anchor height and place both feet securely in the foot cradles
  • Come into a plank position with hands on the floor, feet elevated in the straps so your body forms an inclined angle
  • Align your body in a straight line from head to heels, with feet higher than your head
  • Brace your core, glutes, and shoulders to maintain the position without letting your hips sag or rise
  • Keep your head in a neutral position, looking at the floor
  • Hold for the desired duration, breathing controlled and steady throughout
