The suspension trainer external rotation strengthens the posterior deltoid and rotator cuff by rotating the upper arm outward against the strap's resistance. This exercise improves shoulder health, posture, and stability.

How to Perform

  • Stand facing the suspension trainer anchor point and grip the handles with palms facing each other
  • Lean back slightly to create tension in the straps, feet hip-width apart
  • Bend your elbows to 90 degrees, keeping upper arms parallel to the floor
  • Rotate your forearms upward and outward, externally rotating the shoulder joint
  • Pause at the top, squeezing the rear deltoids and upper back
  • Slowly return to the starting position under control
