About this exercise

A functional lower-body and coordination drill where you step one foot back into a reverse lunge position while simultaneously raising both arms overhead. The movement trains single-leg stability, hip mobility, and shoulder flexibility together.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart and arms at your sides
  • Step one foot back and lower your rear knee toward the floor while simultaneously raising both arms overhead
  • Keep your front knee tracking over your toes and your torso upright
  • Pause briefly at the bottom of the lunge with arms fully extended overhead
  • Push through the front foot to return to standing while lowering your arms
  • Repeat on the same or opposite leg as prescribed
