About this exercise

The Stationary Bike Walk is a low-intensity cardio session performed on a stationary bike at a very light resistance and slow cadence that mimics walking pace. It is commonly used as a warm-up, cool-down, or active-recovery session to promote blood flow without significant fatigue.

How to Perform

  • Mount the stationary bike and adjust the seat so your knee has a slight bend at the bottom of the pedal stroke
  • Set the resistance to its lowest or near-lowest setting
  • Begin pedaling at a slow, steady cadence that feels like a comfortable walking pace
  • Keep your posture upright and your hands resting lightly on the handlebars
  • Breathe steadily throughout the session
  • Continue for the target duration, maintaining the gentle, consistent pace

About the Stationary Bike Walk

The Stationary Bike Walk is a foundational movement that builds strength and muscle through controlled, progressive overload. Train it 1 to 2 times per week with 3 to 5 working sets per session, gradually adding weight or reps as form holds up.
