About this exercise

A standing plyometric core exercise that mimics the pedaling motion of a bicycle by alternately driving the knees up while rotating the torso to the opposite side. It challenges the obliques, abs, and hip flexors while elevating the heart rate.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet hip-width apart and hands behind your head, elbows wide
  • Lift your right knee toward your chest while rotating your left elbow to meet it
  • Return to the starting position and immediately repeat on the opposite side
  • Drive your left knee up while rotating your right elbow toward it
  • Keep your core braced and maintain an upright torso throughout
  • Move in a continuous alternating rhythm, simulating a cycling motion
  • Control the rotation so each elbow reaches toward the opposite knee
