About this exercise

A standing boxing drill where punches are thrown upward toward a top corner target, engaging the shoulders, triceps, and core with each strike. This dynamic movement improves coordination, shoulder endurance, and upper-body power.

How to Perform

  • Stand in a fighting stance with feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent
  • Raise your hands to guard position at face level
  • Rotate your torso and drive a punch upward diagonally toward the top corner target
  • Fully extend the punching arm while keeping the opposite hand at guard
  • Retract the arm quickly back to guard position after each strike
  • Alternate sides or work one side for the prescribed repetitions
  • Keep your core braced and hips rotating on each punch
