About this exercise

The standing single air bike mimics the bicycle crunch movement in an upright position, alternating knee drives with opposite elbow rotations. It targets the obliques and abs while also providing a light cardio stimulus and improving rotational coordination.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet hip-width apart and hands behind your head, elbows wide
  • Lift your right knee toward your chest while rotating your left elbow to meet it
  • Lower your right foot and immediately drive your left knee up, rotating your right elbow toward it
  • Continue alternating sides in a smooth, pedaling rhythm
  • Keep your core tight and avoid pulling on your neck with your hands
  • Maintain upright posture and control the rotation from your torso, not your arms
