The Standing Russian Twist Knee Thrust combines a rotational torso swing with an alternating knee drive, making it an effective plyometric conditioning drill that challenges the obliques, core stability, and lower-body power simultaneously.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and clasp your hands in front of your chest
  • Rotate your clasped hands to the right while driving your left knee up toward your right elbow
  • Return to centre and immediately rotate to the left while driving your right knee up
  • Keep the movement fluid and rhythmic, alternating sides continuously
  • Brace your core throughout to protect the lower back
  • Maintain an upright posture and controlled breathing
