About this exercise

The standing leg curl isolates the hamstrings one leg at a time, building strength and definition in the back of the thigh.

How to Perform

  • Stand on the machine and position the pad just above your ankle
  • Hold the support handles and keep your hips against the pad
  • Curl your heel up toward your glutes by bending your knee
  • Squeeze your hamstring at the top of the movement
  • Lower your foot slowly back to the starting position
  • Complete all reps, then switch legs
