MediumGlutesCore

About this exercise

A single-leg balance and hip mobility drill where the free leg swings in a crossover pendulum pattern — crossing in front of the body and then sweeping out to the side — challenging hip mobility, dynamic stability, and proprioception on the standing leg.

How to Perform

  • Stand tall on one leg with a soft bend in the supporting knee and core engaged
  • Hinge slightly forward at the hips to help maintain balance
  • Swing the free leg across the body in front of the standing leg in a smooth arc
  • Let the momentum carry the leg back and out to the side like a pendulum
  • Control the swing and bring the leg back to center before the next rep
  • Keep the movement fluid and avoid rotating the pelvis or trunk
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching to the other leg
