About this exercise

A challenging unilateral squat where a stability ball is placed between your back and a wall for support, allowing you to perform a single-leg squat with controlled depth. This exercise develops leg strength, balance, and unilateral stability.

How to Perform

  • Place a stability ball between your lower back and a wall and lean into it
  • Lift one foot off the ground, extending it slightly forward
  • Stand on the working leg with feet hip-width from the wall
  • Lower yourself by bending the supporting knee, allowing the ball to roll up your back
  • Descend until the thigh is approximately parallel to the floor
  • Drive through the heel to press back up to the starting position
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching legs
