About this exercise

The Squat Bounce Sky Punch is a plyometric full-body conditioning exercise combining a squat bounce with an explosive overhead punch. The rapid squat-and-rise pattern trains lower-body power while the punching motion adds an upper-body cardio component and improves coordination.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, hands loosely fisted near your chin in a guard position
  • Lower into a squat by bending your knees and pushing your hips back
  • Bounce lightly at the bottom of the squat, then explosively drive upward through your legs
  • As you rise, extend one or both arms overhead in a punching motion toward the sky
  • Land softly by bending your knees to absorb the impact
  • Immediately transition back into the next squat with a controlled bounce
  • Continue for the desired number of reps or duration at a steady, rhythmic pace
