How to Perform

  • Sit upright on the edge of a padded stool with feet flat on the floor, hands clasped behind your head or crossed over your chest
  • Brace your core and lean back slightly to engage your abs
  • Simultaneously rotate your upper body to one side while driving the opposite knee up toward your chest
  • Hold the top position briefly, feeling the contraction in your abs and obliques
  • Lower your foot and return to the upright position in a controlled manner
  • Repeat, rotating to the other side for the next rep
