About this exercise

A seated coordination and shoulder mobility exercise where you alternately step one foot out to the side while simultaneously raising both arms overhead. It improves shoulder range of motion, hip mobility, and overall body coordination.

How to Perform

  • Sit upright near the front edge of a chair with feet together and hands resting on your thighs
  • Step your right foot out to the side while simultaneously raising both arms overhead
  • Hold briefly at the top with arms fully extended
  • Return your foot and lower your arms back to the starting position
  • Repeat on the left side, alternating in a controlled pace
  • Keep your core engaged and your back upright throughout the movement
