A seated abdominal exercise performed on a padded stool that combines a scissors leg lift with a crunch motion to intensely engage the abs. By sitting on the edge of the stool you can extend your legs and use them as a lever to challenge your core.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the edge of a padded stool, lean back slightly, and grip the sides of the stool for support
  • Extend both legs out in front of you, keeping them off the floor
  • Simultaneously crunch your torso forward and perform a scissors motion by crossing your legs alternately up and down
  • Keep your lower back protected by bracing your core throughout the movement
  • Continue the scissors motion for the desired number of reps
  • Return to the starting position in a controlled manner
