EasyObliques

About this exercise

A rotational core exercise performed from a cross-legged lotus sitting position, mimicking a diagonal chopping motion to target the obliques and abdominals. The seated base eliminates lower-body momentum, forcing the torso to generate all rotational power.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor in lotus or a comfortable cross-legged position with your spine tall and upright
  • Clasp your hands together and bring them to one side of your body near the hip
  • Rotate your torso and sweep your arms diagonally upward across your body toward the opposite shoulder
  • Follow through with your gaze and upper-body rotation, then reverse the motion back to the starting side
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching, or alternate sides with each repetition
