About this exercise

A seated compound movement that combines an upward incline pressing motion with alternating lateral step-outs on a padded stool. It challenges the upper body, core stability, and lower-body coordination simultaneously.

How to Perform

  • Sit upright on the edge of a padded stool with feet together and hands at chest level
  • Press both arms forward and upward at an incline angle while stepping one foot out to the side
  • Hold briefly at the top of the press with arms extended
  • Lower your arms back to chest level and return the foot to the starting position
  • Repeat on the opposite side, alternating the step-out with each rep
  • Keep your core engaged and your torso stable throughout
