A seated floor exercise that targets the abs and obliques through alternating diagonal reaches toward each foot. The rotational element engages the obliques while the forward reach provides a mild hamstring stretch, making it a useful mobility and core combination drill.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor with legs extended straight and spread into a comfortable V-shape
  • Sit tall, brace your core, and hold your arms extended in front of you
  • Rotate your torso to the right and reach your left hand toward your right foot
  • Hold briefly, then return to the starting position
  • Rotate to the left and reach your right hand toward your left foot
  • Continue alternating sides for the desired number of reps
