About this exercise

A seated coordination exercise performed on a chair that alternates between clapping the hands overhead and clapping them under the raised knee. It challenges coordination, core stability, and shoulder mobility while keeping the movement low-impact.

How to Perform

  • Sit upright near the front edge of a chair with feet flat on the floor
  • Clap your hands together overhead, fully extending your arms
  • Immediately lower your arms and raise one knee, clapping your hands under that knee
  • Lower the foot back to the floor and clap overhead again
  • Raise the opposite knee and clap under it, then return to the overhead clap
  • Continue alternating in a steady, controlled rhythm
  • Keep your core braced and your back upright throughout
