About this exercise

A seated rotational exercise that alternately drives the knee toward the opposite elbow, engaging the obliques and deep core muscles. It doubles as a mobility drill that loosens the thoracic spine while challenging rotational strength.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor with knees bent and feet flat, leaning your torso back slightly to engage the core
  • Place your hands lightly behind your head, elbows wide
  • Lift your right knee while rotating your left elbow toward it, meeting in the middle
  • Lower back to the start position under control
  • Immediately lift the left knee and rotate the right elbow toward it
  • Continue alternating sides in a smooth, controlled rhythm
  • Keep your lower back from rounding excessively throughout
