How to Perform

  • Sit on the edge of a sturdy chair with feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart
  • Lean your torso slightly forward from the hips, keeping your back straight
  • Push evenly through both feet to rise to a full standing position, extending your hips and knees
  • Pause briefly at the top, standing tall with hips fully extended
  • Hinge at the hips and slowly lower yourself back down to the seated position with control
  • Avoid using your hands to push off the chair unless needed for safety
  • Repeat for the target number of repetitions
