EasyCore

About this exercise

A balance and proprioception exercise where you stand on one leg while lightly touching a support for minimal assistance. It progressively challenges ankle, knee, and hip stability as well as core engagement, and can be made harder by reducing or eliminating the support contact.

How to Perform

  • Stand next to a wall or sturdy object for light support
  • Shift your weight fully onto one foot and lift the opposite foot slightly off the floor
  • Lightly touch the support with one fingertip for minimal assistance
  • Hold the single-leg position while keeping the standing leg slightly bent
  • Keep your gaze on a fixed point ahead to help maintain balance
  • Gradually increase the hold duration or reduce support contact as stability improves
