About this exercise

The single leg sliding floor bridge curl on towel is a demanding unilateral hamstring exercise. You lie on your back, place one heel on a towel, and simultaneously bridge your hips up while sliding the heel toward your body — combining a hip extension and a leg curl in a single fluid movement.

How to Perform

  • Lie on your back on the floor and place one heel on a smooth towel, keeping the other leg extended or bent with foot flat on the floor
  • Brace your core and press through the working heel to lift your hips off the floor into a bridge position
  • From the bridge, slide the heel toward your glutes by bending the knee, curling the hamstring
  • Keep the hips elevated throughout the curl — do not let them drop
  • Slowly slide the heel back out to full extension while maintaining the bridge
  • Lower the hips to the floor with control to complete one rep
  • Complete all reps on one side before switching legs
