MediumGlutes

About this exercise

A unilateral glute bridge variation in which one leg is extended straight while the other drives the hip extension. Extending the free leg increases the stability demand on the core and back, while intensifying the glute and hamstring load on the working leg.

How to Perform

  • Lie flat on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor
  • Extend one leg straight so it is parallel to the floor and in line with the opposite thigh
  • Press through the heel of the bent leg and drive your hips up toward the ceiling
  • Squeeze your glutes hard at the top and hold for a moment
  • Lower your hips back down under control without letting them touch the floor
  • Complete all reps on one side, then switch legs
