About this exercise

A unilateral kneeling stretch that targets the quadriceps of one leg by leaning the torso backward from a half-kneeling position. It effectively lengthens the front of the thigh and hip flexors, making it ideal as a cooldown or mobility exercise.

How to Perform

  • Kneel on the floor with one knee down and the opposite foot flat on the floor in front of you
  • Keep your torso upright and engage your core for stability
  • Slowly lean your hips and torso backward toward your heel, deepening the stretch in the front of your thigh
  • Hold the position for the desired duration, breathing steadily
  • Return to the starting position and repeat on the other leg
