About this exercise

The side to side knee tuck is a core exercise performed in a seated or supported position, where you draw both knees toward one side of your body and then the other in a controlled twisting motion. It targets the obliques and abs while building rotational core strength.

How to Perform

  • Sit on the floor with your legs extended and hands placed behind you for support, leaning back slightly
  • Engage your core and lift your feet a few inches off the ground
  • Bend both knees and draw them toward your right side, rotating your hips to the right
  • Return your legs to center, keeping feet elevated
  • Bend your knees again and draw them toward your left side, rotating your hips to the left
  • Continue alternating sides in a controlled, fluid motion
  • Keep your chest up and avoid collapsing your lower back throughout the movement
