About this exercise

A plyometric cardio exercise where you hop laterally from side to side in a continuous rhythm. It develops lower-body power, agility, and cardiovascular endurance while training the muscles responsible for lateral movement patterns.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent, and arms ready to swing for balance
  • Push off both feet and hop to the right, landing softly on the balls of your feet with knees slightly bent to absorb impact
  • Without pausing, immediately hop back to the left in a smooth, controlled rhythm
  • Keep your core engaged and torso upright throughout the movement
  • Continue alternating side to side for the prescribed number of reps or duration
