The Side Step L Pose is a lateral movement drill combining a side step with an L-shaped arm and leg position that challenges hip mobility, balance, and coordination. It serves as a dynamic warm-up or conditioning exercise targeting the hips and thighs.

How to Perform

  • Stand upright with feet together and arms relaxed at your sides
  • Step laterally to one side while simultaneously raising the opposite knee to hip height to create an L shape
  • Hold the position momentarily to engage your hip and core muscles
  • Return the raised foot to the ground and step your other foot in
  • Repeat the movement stepping to the opposite side
  • Maintain an upright torso and controlled tempo throughout
