About this exercise

A lateral conditioning drill that combines a side shuffle with a coordinated arm swing, building lower-body power, lateral agility, and cardiovascular endurance. Commonly used in athletic warm-ups and conditioning circuits.

How to Perform

  • Start in an athletic stance with knees slightly bent and feet hip-width apart
  • Push off the trailing foot and shuffle two to three steps laterally to one side
  • Swing both arms in the direction of travel to generate momentum
  • Land in a balanced athletic stance, absorbing the movement through your legs
  • Immediately reverse direction and shuffle back the other way with the arm swing following
  • Keep your hips low and chest up throughout
