About this exercise

A plyometric cardio drill combining a lateral shuffle with a leg side lift at the end of each shuffle sequence, targeting the outer thighs and glutes while keeping the heart rate elevated. The continuous lateral movement also challenges balance and hip stability.

How to Perform

  • Begin in an athletic stance with feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent
  • Shuffle two to three steps to one side in a quick, low stance
  • At the end of the shuffle, lift the outer leg out to the side as high as comfortable
  • Lower the leg and immediately shuffle back in the opposite direction
  • Keep your core engaged and land softly on each shuffle step
