The Side Shuffle High Knee is a plyometric cardio exercise that combines lateral shuffling with alternating high-knee drives, elevating heart rate while training lateral agility, hip flexor strength, and lower-body coordination. It is commonly used as a warm-up or conditioning drill.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet hip-width apart and knees slightly bent
  • Shuffle laterally two to three steps to one side, staying light on your feet
  • Plant your outside foot and drive the opposite knee up toward your chest
  • Lower the knee and shuffle back in the opposite direction
  • Plant and drive the other knee up toward your chest
  • Keep your arms pumping actively to maintain rhythm
  • Continue alternating sides for the desired duration
