About this exercise

A dynamic side plank variation where you maintain the side plank position while repeatedly driving the top knee towards your chest. The knee drive adds rotational and hip-flexion challenge to the static hold, intensifying oblique and hip flexor engagement.

How to Perform

  • Begin in a side plank position supported on one forearm with your elbow directly beneath your shoulder
  • Stack your feet or stagger them for balance, body forming a straight diagonal line
  • Brace your core and keep your hips elevated throughout
  • Drive your top knee towards your chest by flexing at the hip
  • Return your foot to the starting position with control
  • Avoid letting your hips drop at any point during the movement
  • Complete all reps on one side, then switch sides
