EasyGlutesQuadriceps

About this exercise

A dynamic mobility and lower-body exercise that combines a lateral lunge with a sweeping windmill arm motion to open the hips and improve rotational flexibility. It targets the inner thighs, glutes, and quadriceps while promoting thoracic rotation and overall hip mobility.

How to Perform

  • Stand with feet together and arms extended out to your sides at shoulder height
  • Step out to one side into a wide lateral lunge, bending the leading knee and keeping the other leg straight
  • As you lower into the lunge, sweep both arms in a windmill arc — one arm reaching toward the foot of the bent leg and the other sweeping upward
  • Hold briefly at the bottom, feeling the stretch through the inner thigh and hips
  • Drive through the bent leg to return to standing while sweeping your arms back to the starting position
  • Repeat on the opposite side, alternating with each rep
