About this exercise

A gentle seated stretch performed on a chair in which you extend both arms overhead and elongate the entire side of the body, targeting the lats, obliques, and shoulders. It relieves tension in the upper back and torso, making it an excellent desk-break mobility drill.

  • Interlace your fingers and press your palms toward the ceiling
  • Reach upward and slightly back, feeling the stretch along your lats and sides
